Baked Apples Breakfast Recipe
0 Vata, - Pitta, - Kapha
Ingredients:
- 4 organic apples
- 2 cups apple juice
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon nutmeg or cardamom
- ¼ teaspoon organic lemon peel or 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- ½ cup raisins
- ¼ cup sunflower seeds

Ghee or unsalted butter
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Wash and core apples. Place in 8 inch x 8 inch baking dish.
Mix the raisins, spices, and seeds. Stuff this mixture firmly into the cored apples. Pour the apple juice into the pan and dot the center of each apple with a dollop of ghee or butter. Cover and bake for 45 minutes or until tender.
Variation:
Baked Pears: proceed as above, slicing pears in half and removing the bcore.
