Do I Need to Be a Vegetarian? [video]

Welcome to our AskBanyan Series, where we answer the most popular questions about living an Ayurvedic lifestyle. In this video, we discuss vegetarianism in Ayurvedic living.

Do I have to be a vegetarian to live an Ayurvedic lifestyle? I actually hear this question a lot from students. I know there are a lot of Ayurvedic recipes that are vegetarian—however, you do not need to be a vegetarian to live Ayurvedically.

A lot of this is really to do with balancing your unique constitution, right? So we're all individual, we all have our unique needs, and that means that for some people, having like a chicken and vegetable soup is going to be a lot more supportive for their constitution.

Not sure what your constitution is or what foods work best with your body type? Take the dosha quiz now!
