About Gokshura powder

Gokshura (Tribulus terrestris), also known as "caltrops" and "goat head," is a small leafy shrub that grows throughout the world. It is probably best recognized by its hard, thorny fruits—you may have even found them in your bike tires or shoes after a hike. These fruits have been traditionally used in Ayurvedic herbalism for thousands of years as a cooling, nourishing, and rejuvenating tonic. Our gokshura is certified Fair for Life Fair Trade.*

How To Use

Ayurvedic Energetics:

  • Rasa (taste): sweet, bitter
  • Virya (action): cooling
  • Vipaka (post-digestive effect): sweet
  • Doshas (constitutions): Balancing for all doshas, especially vata

Suggested Use:
¼ to ½ teaspoon with warm water, once or twice daily, or as directed by your health practitioner.
