Organic Zucchini Seeds

Costata Romanesco (Cucurbita pepo) is an Italian heirloom zucchini known for its tender, ribbed squash and sweet, nutty flavor. This variety produces a high yield of zucchinis that are perfect for grilling, sautéing, zucchini noodles, or baked goods.

When growing zucchini from seed, start indoors 2–4 weeks before the last frost, then transplant seedlings outdoors when the soil temperature is consistently warm. Seeds can also be sown directly in the garden once danger of frost has passed.

Plant in rich, well-drained soil in full sun. Water regularly, keeping the soil evenly moist, particularly during flowering and fruiting. Plants grow rapidly in warm temperatures, spreading up to 3 feet in all directions.

These zucchinis mature quickly. Harvest when they are between 6–12 inches for tender, flavorful zucchinis. Regular harvesting encourages continuous production. Zucchinis blossoms can also be harvested for a culinary delicacy.
