About Herb Seed Bundle

This bundle of organic herb seeds includes 10 different varieties of herbs for your home garden and herbal apothecary. Combining popular, easy-to-grow Western and Ayurvedic herbs, it is perfect for beginner and expert gardeners alike.

Planting

  • Before last frost: start tulsi and ashwagandha seeds indoors
  • After last frost: direct sow bhringaraj, bitter melon, and fennel seeds
  • In the late spring: cold stratify and direct sow skullcap seeds
  • Early spring through summer: direct sow marshmallow, calendula, and chamomile seeds
  • Early spring through early fall: direct sow echinacea seeds

Growing & Harvesting

Most of these herbs prefer full sun and well-drained soil. With regular watering, minimal maintenance, and a touch of love, they will offer an abundant and continual harvest of beneficial herbs throughout the growing season.

Growing Tips:

  • Echinacea grows slowly and flowers in its second year. Roots can be harvested in 2–3 years.
  • Harvest marshmallow roots in the fall of their first season, or wait until the second year for larger roots.
  • For peak potency, wait to harvest ashwagandha roots until after the first fall frost.
  • Wear gloves and long sleeves when harvesting bhringaraj as the plant can irritate the skin.
  • Harvest bitter melons when the gourds are still young, around 8–12 inches long.
  • Pick chamomile and calendula flowers often to encourage continued flowering.
